This presentation will give an overview of addiction and co-occurring mental health needs of women in treatment settings. We will review the neurobiology of addiction and trauma, their overlap, and their association with mood, eating, and anxiety disorders in women. We will focus specifically on racial in equalities in addiction care, racial trauma, and a demonstration group highlighting an antiracist clinical approach.
