Empowering EAP Professionals: Mastering Telehealth to Foster Connections (2.0 CEU)
Friday, April 19, 2024 • 9:00am - 12:00pm
Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) have the unprecedented power of connection. Every day, EAPs continue the ever important job of providing care and connection to employees globally. When the world went remote during the pandemic, the EAP field was called to action to provide mental health support to people when they needed it most, and needed it quickly. Innumerable quantities of people were able to access services via telehealth that wouldn't normally be available to gain support and resources to get through what was likely the most difficult hardships faced to date. As evidence is pointing to the strong likelihood that the world will remain digital, coupled with the growing demand for accessible mental health care, it is necessary to teach, strengthen and maintain the skills that create telehealth clinicians who are able to foster the connection people crave.
PRESENTATION OBJECTIVES:
- Demonstrate effective ways to bridge the gap between clinicians and clients when providing telehealth
- Discuss the benefits of telehealth therapy
- Provide strategies for optimizing each telehealth session and How to mitigate any challenges that may arise
